Bracket linkatology

I promise I do have fantasy baseball links coming but since it's bracket time, I thought I'd send you all out to a handful of rankings and predictors for the NCAA tourney. Unless you want to be like my mom who picks schools based on whether or not she knows anyone who attended that college or lives remotely near that college, then I recommend you scope out these links for some helpful advice. And yes, it rocks that my mom actually puts together a bracket. Enjoy! Ken Pomery's Log5 Rankings and his full season rankings. Jeff Sagarin's rankings - take a look at predictor as the best tool for bracket assistance. Raymond's rankings (includes rankings and performance links for past years as well as links to other experts' rankings for comparison, too) Massey ratings , incredibly comprehensive with the comparisons and offers up means, medians, standard deviation...whatever you need to get a sense of the consensus. Take me to another land

It's official, friends, I'm moving to Knoxville, Tennessee. In addition to having a kickass department at UT for my husband to teach in, Knoxville is also my husband's hometown, meaning it's chock full of family members. What more could I want than to surround our son with loving family members? Plus, don't get me started on the incredible cost of living there as compared to NYC. While I don't play fantasy baseball, I can certainly get up one post of helpful resources (like Baseball Monster , one of my husband's favori

Combine, lockout talks, 2011 rankings, and a cute baby

In order to appease you all for my absence last month (just one post in February! Where on earth was I?), I'm posting a photo of our son who is quickly becoming quite the little man. He's cute, he's happy, and he's a hell of a lot of work. But life is good in the FFLibrarian household and we've got big news churning over here. As many of you know, my husband and I moved to Brooklyn 1.5 years ago after spending seven years in Boulder, Colorado...and now we're moving yet again. My husband is an academic, hence our mildly nomadic life, though I'm thinking this next move might stick for awhile. We won't know where we're going for another 24 hours or so until all job offers have been made and weighed and reweighed, but I can safely say that we will soon be living in the south. Quite the whirlwind to go from the mountain west to NYC to southern living. Glad you all have been along for the ride and it should once again keep my summer a bit nutty as I balanc
