2011 draft recap & fantasy prep

Greetings long-lost fantasy football friends. You've been very patient with me this spring as I've been essentially missing in fantasy action here for the past few months. Lots of stuff going on here in FFLibrarian land between our increasingly mobile and adorable 7-month-old, our impending move to Tennessee (not leaving NYC until July though!) and all the house hunting and moving plans that come with it, and then a slew of travel this spring that have all kept me from posting as much as I would have liked. So thanks for sticking around and rest assured that I will be back to my normal posting schedule as the season (fingers crossed!) begins to unfold. We've got lots of post-draft material out there to look at, so let's try and make sense of the fantasy analysis madness out there: If you just want the results of the draft straight up, cruise on over to the Bruno Boys for their NFL Draft 2011: Round by Round Draft Tracker .  Another place to swing by for some general...

Take me to another land

It's official, friends, I'm moving to Knoxville, Tennessee. In addition to having a kickass department at UT for my husband to teach in, Knoxville is also my husband's hometown, meaning it's chock full of family members. What more could I want than to surround our son with loving family members? Plus, don't get me started on the incredible cost of living there as compared to NYC. While there are plenty of things that I'll miss about New York and just the urban lifestyle in general, I knew we were never here for the long haul and I'm looking forward to this next chapter. I'm taking suggestions for awesome things to do in Knoxville... Lots of content for you today, much of it focusing on the NFL Draft. Before I jump into football though, I'd love to know if any of you would like a baseball-focused post. While I don't play fantasy baseball, I can certainly get up one post of helpful resources (like Baseball Monster , one of my husband's favori...

Post-Super Bowl linkage

Oh it has been a long time, my fantasy football friends. I think I might have been blogging throughout the 2010 season purely on adrenaline - as loyal readers surely noticed, when the season ended my blogging here absolutely collapsed. While it did coincide with my return to work and getting our son set up in day care, it has also just been a much-needed time for refueling. First, before I get a whole deeper into today's post, I hope everyone enjoyed their Super Bowl Sunday, one of my favorite days of the year. A hearty congrats to Packers fans out there - job well done. I owe you all a lot of thoughts on the annual accuracy contest, which are still forthcoming. Truth be told, the files for the analysis all live on my husband's laptop, which was unexpectedly stuck along with him in the midwest for several days last week during the ice/snow storm that completely ravaged his travel plans. Instead of a quick 36-hour trip, my husband was gone for 4 days and I have an even great...
