Streaming Defenses - Week 15

Well, my season is over, friends. I can't say I'm all that surprised as my fantasy football efforts weren't terribly high this year, but it's always a bit alarming to be done this early. Here's hoping many of you are still in and fighting your way to a championship. Bob is here to keep things rolling for the DST streamers. Best of luck!
Wow, what a difference a week can make. Last week the streamers were terrible due to no good matchups. This week the streamers had the matchups and it showed. Aside from SEA, the highly did as expected. Even PHI showed up to make some points, but don’t chase the points there, PHI is still terrible. The streamers did great with only DET disappointing. And CAR and ATL probably won some playoff games for you. Even without ATL and CAR, the streamers averaged 11 points, not too shabby.

This week we continue our match through the playoffs. I only like 5 of the 7 highly owned this week. Beware of starting DEN. And why do people still own the Eagles? Since week 9, here are the DEF pts for PHI: 7, 8, 1, 1, 4, 12.

Lots of targets for the streamers this week. And watch for teams with games that they need for the playoff run. The top 4 streamers this week have a path to the playoffs, and will play like it. With only 5 highly owned recommended, this week I give you 7 great streamers.

MIN at home and IND without an off line, I like this as the 1st best highly owned.

This is a nightmare matchup for the Broncos, I would look elsewhere.

SEA didn't look good against GB, but LAR is not GB. Expect a good return as the 3rd best start.

DEN Off is bad right now without a ground game, and NE will key in on those pesky receivers. 2nd best start this week.

Don't know why this one isn't rated higher, but I like the Chiefs this week. 4th best start.

ARI will score some points this week against a weak offensive line, start with confidence.

A lot of experts like this matchup. I don't, the Eagles' Def is terrible now, look elsewhere.

Conversely (see above), BAL will take PHI apart. I don't know why BAL isn't more highly owned, but that's good for streamers. 1st best stream this week.

I missed two weeks ago, but got it right last week. This week the #1 target, expect big things. 2nd best stream.

ATL stuck it to LAR last week and this week they get yet another great target. 3rd best stream.

I really like this one. OAK is avging 11 pts/game in last four starts. SD is a great target, so expect a nice return. 4th best start.

ARI is still a great target with Palmer doing everything except move the ball. Even lowly NO will score against this off. 5th best start.

I hate to give the Jets any credit on DEF, but MIA will be without their QB and the Jets are best against the run. This is a good start this week.

And how can we overlook the best target in the league. BUF may get a lift this week on a coaching change and renew their DEF. A good start this week.

This one is a bonus. At home the Giants are looking great on DEF, and the Lions have a hampered QB. Start if you don't have any other options.

Good luck on the playoffs.

Thanks for posting. The Miami stream got me back on track last week.

Am I missing something, no Houston vs Jax?

Nope, don't believe in Texans defense. Averaging only 7 pts/gm ove last four weeks. Even though JAC is still a target, they only gave up 6 and 8 points to the Bills and Vikings respectively. Although they did give up 18 to the Broncos. Texans are not the Broncos. They can be started, but temper expectations. And there are too many other teams I would pick first.

Labor Day FF links

Happy long weekend! Here's hoping most of you are free to enjoy the 3-day weekend and the relaxation and fun that comes with it. I spent my Sunday participating in 3 fantasy football drafts scattered throughout the day and night, but I think I've finally wrapped up my drafts for the year. So like many of you I'm now turning my attention to the Week 1 games! But before we get to some player rankings and prep for Week 1, I want to make sure that all you experts out there are aware of the upcoming deadline for the annual accuracy contest that I run with the Fantasy Sports Trade Association. I compare preseason positional rankings from experts to the final outcome of the fantasy season to see which site had the most accurate preseason rankings, and this year's deadline is fast approaching: September 9th by kickoff. Check out the info on the FSTA site for more details and be sure to e-mail me your submissions. Now, onto Week 1! First up, let's get to some of this

2010 Week 2 consensus start/sit

Greetings and happy weekend. I've got this week's consensus start/sit for you which is a tally of all the start/sit votes that players received in the various start/sit articles that I linked to earlier in the week. So while these aren't my personal recommendations, I do think knowing what the consensus is could be of help when making lineup decisions...so enjoy! Note: the players are listed in no particular order. QB Start: Michael Vick, Kyle Orton, Matt Ryan, Jason Campbell Sit: David Garrard, Alex Smith, Jay Cutler, Vince Young, Carson Palmer RB Start: LeSean McCoy, Darren McFadden, Ahmad Bradshaw, Brandon Jackson Sit: Tim Hightower, C.J. A hiatus

Update:  It is with a very heavy heart that I tell you all that yesterday, August 30th, I delivered our stillborn daughter, Caroline Mary. This has been an almost surreal and definitely heartbreaking experience and I appreciate the support in each and every one of your notes. Caroline will be honored and loved always. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your thoughts and prayers - they mean the world to our family. I have been a very poor blogger this month and feel I owe you all an explanation, particularly as this is crunch time for draft prep. I hope this is not too personal of a look into my life since I know most of you are just here for the football. I am nearly 18 weeks pregnant and we have learned that our baby (a little girl!) has triploidy, a chromosomal abnormality that means she has three copies of every chromosome instead of the normal two. The doctors have explained that it's a completely random occurrence and fairly rare that she has made it this far along, but tha
