Friday awesomeness

It's a glorious day here - the weather is spectacular, it's a Friday, we've got a weekend full of football coming, and best of all it's my son's 1st birthday. He gave us all a little gift by sleeping in until the heavenly hour of 7:30. Yes, that's heavenly. And now it's already nap time again, though I just went in to check on him since he was quietly resting in his crib for a good 15 minutes (or so I thought) before suddenly getting riled up - it appears as though he spent that quiet time figuring out how to wiggle out of his blanket and take his pants off. Ahh, pants free. The dude is learning so many important life skills. Week 4 Lineup Advice

Rumor has it last night was a wild one in the land of baseball . Not gonna lie, I'm not a huge baseball fan but my husband was flipping through the various games last night until we called it a night at the early we-have-a-baby-and-still-desperately-need-sleep 10:00 hour (hey, I'm pleased I made it that long)...but that was far before the drama finally unfolded at 1 AM. Hope those of you who watched it enjoyed the craziness and those who play fantasy baseball ended the season with a championship! Onto the bigger, badder, and better sport: football. First up, please head on over to FantasyPros.com's weekly start/sit challenge to represent FFLibrarian and demonstrate just how brilliant you all are when it comes to fantasy start/sit decisions. What's better than bubble wrap?

Our son turns 1 in a few days. One whole year. Unreal how fast it flew. We're now all stocked up on birthday presents and I felt some odd, rabid desire to buy my son any tiny thing he could possibly want while wandering the aisles of Toys R Us. Consumerism at its best worst, eh? Don't worry, I reigned myself in and decided a 1-year-old doesn't need a $200 car. I'm also fully aware that the boxes and wrapping paper will likely bring him the most joy of all - I tell you the giggles that come out of that boy when bubble wrap is involved would melt your heart a thousand times. So a couple of items before we get to today's linkage. First up, Pickemfirst is offering FFLibrarian readers a 20% discount on their Pro product that I gushed over a few weeks ago. Head on over for a season-long sub for $9. Also, a little update on the weekly accuracy challenge with FantasyPros.com . Friends, I bombed this week with my start/sit accuracy (probably because I was too busy res...

All the waiver advice you'll ever need

You know it's going to be a good day when you're going to the pediatrician not once but twice. I know, I know, I'm sounding like a broken record these days with all my talk about sick babies, but hey it's 10 AM and we've already knocked off one trip to the doc for the day and have one sinus infection diagnosed. Later today we just go back to chat with a nutritionist to talk about ways to help beef up our lean little dude since he's tipping the scales at roughly the 1st percentile for weight. Now since this is all stuff that meant absolutely nothing to me pre-baby, I think it's time to carry on and head straight to today's football linkage. We've come to know and love FantasyPros.com for all of the awesome consensus material they bring us and this week they're trying a new feature - in Consensus Waiver Wire Rankings they asked a handful of pros to rank a group of potential waiver wire grabs at each position based on their value for the remainder...

Palmetto state ponderings

Greetings to the good state of South Carolina. We've cruised our way through Greenville to Columbia to Charleston, probably leaving a trail of baby-fied crumbs, half-eaten food, and gnawed-on straws and coffee lids in our wake. We're doing a little regrouping before wedding festivities begin and scads of my husband's relatives arrive on the scene. Fortunately that leaves a little time for posting, too, so let's get right to today's links: Get these guys on your radar - Roto Arcade's Deep Posts: Seven lightly owned fantasy options, for the watch list . Rest-of-season rankings, are you out there?

Before we get to the meat and potatoes today I'd like to actually put out a request to fantasy football content providers: I'm in search of some freely available rest-of-season rankings. I look for these every year but pretty much the only destination seems to be Yahoo's Shuffle Up & Deal rankings, which are great and should come out in a few weeks. But if you've learned anything about me from reading this site, you know I like having lots of articles/rankings/whatever to read. So if anyone knows of other free rest-of-season rankings, please leave a comment for us all with the details. Otherwise, experts, start ponying up those rest-of-season rankings and you're sure to have more readers. Many thanks again for participating in the FantasyPros.com weekly accuracy challenge that pits you fine readers against readers of other sites/forums. We came in 7th again as you'll see here though our consensus win percentage and points put us on top. Time to get rollin...
