The road goes on forever and the offseason prep never ends

If you're a regular reader and haven't caught on to the schedule switch going on here on FFLibrarian, just a quick heads up that I'll mostly be posting at night now for awhile as I get adjusted to my new job schedule. Also my posts might slow down a bit in the offseason, but never fear my fantasy football fiends, there's always something to write about!

So right now I'm taking a break from the Olympics (and staring at Dick Button's absolutely immense shoes) to get some links up for you...nah, who am I kidding, there's no such thing as a break from the Olympics, not when you're playing fantasy Olympics...I even watched curling at the gym today, that's how into the Olympics I am.

Let's jump right into tonight's link wrap-up:
  • I remember reading Rotoworld's thoughts on small schools in past years - always appreciated since there are gems that come out of smaller programs and we'd all be a little better off knowing their names: Small School Prospects.
  • Other thoughts about this year's draft class come from CBSSports.com's Combine preview: What to watch for at Indy show.
  • If your mind is on the draft then you'll want to swing by FFToolbox - they do a great job of providing mock drafts basically constantly from now until the big weekend, like this one from Ben Standig, one of my favorite FFToolbox writers.
  • I also highly recommend Sports Buff's look at IDP updates if you're playing in a league with individual defenders and you're trying to sniff out some early 2010 defender dudes.
  • If you're looking for some other 2010 insider scoops, head on over to FanHouse's The Next Miles Austin - head on over to see who they have pegged for a big breakout season in 2010.
  • More breakout dudes, this time of the QB variety, from Rotoworld's Dark Horse QBs?
  • Or see why Hatty Waiver Wire Guru has Pierre Garcon in his top 15 WRs next season.

Sarah,

I didn't catch that you found employment there in NYC... congrats! Keep up the good work! Looked like you had all kinds of fun at the Super Bowl.

Back on the fantasy wagon

With my library conferences behind me (for a few weeks at least), I can now concentrate on fantasy football again. If you happen to be a librarian and are interested in how my co-presenter and I tied together fantasy football and information literacy, check out my co-presenter’s blog . Though I imagine most of you would much rather catch up on the following football news and thoughts for the week: I remain a bit dazed and confused by my certainty last summer that Cedric Benson was going to rock my RB2 world in 2007. Didn’t happen and now he’s moved onto ankle surgery, alleged intoxication and resisting arrest on boats. Awesome. You can practically taste Matt Forte’s value skyrocketing here. In fact, wondering about rookie RBs in general? Well then check out FF Xtreme’s The Day After: Ranking the Rookie Running Backs . I love reading articles or stats that challenge my preconceived notions – The Fifth Down’s Chad the Completion Percentage Machine does just that. No offense to thos

Streaming Defenses - Week 16

Don't know about you all, but in our house this week is just chock full of events, visiting with family, and getting organized for our upcoming time off over the holidays. Lots of scrambling going on around here and attempts to install some sense of gratitude in my boys. What am I grateful for this season? Many things but let's start with Bob. Bob has been my fantasy football rock, coming back week after week to post. Hats off to you, Bob, and thank you for your diligent work and research. So here he is with this year's final streaming defense post.  Well it’s the last week of the Fantasy Football Playoffs in most leagues, and my last post of the season. I hope you all found these posts useful. And if I failed you, you have to murder a lot more experts before you get to me. I myself have had a terrible playoff season. I’m out of all but one of my leagues due to the weird games the last two weeks. Between weather that didn’t materialize to normally consistent players co

Rankings, flow charts, and beyond

Greetings from a remarkably cool morning in Tennessee. I've turned my local Starbucks into my office (I telecommute) most mornings and it's so splendidly breezy and cool out here that I'm actually happily outside on their patio cranking out some fantasy links for you this morning. Enjoy! Rankings: Athlon's 2015 Quarterback Rankings (other positions available here ) RotoBaller's Fantasy Football PPR Rankings: Top 200   Rotoworld's Silva's August Top 200  DavidGonos.com's Fantasy Football 2015 Tight Ends: Top 30 TEs Meanwhile, for a little draft strategy, scope out The Fantasy Fix's 12-Team Standard League Flow Chart - kind of a fascinating little nugget here. He outlines which position(s) you might want to target for each round via flow chart, and then skip down below for commentary on particular players that you might want to target.  Or CBSSports.com has their annual look at how the draft could go from each drafting position for fourteen
