Marty - great point, thanks. The sites I pulled this consensus from may well have made their choices before knowing very much about the weather. Thanks for pointing that out!

Anon, by C. Johnson do you mean Calvin or Chad? I definitely like Driver better than Chad but think I'd probably stick with Calvin over Driver. Sure, the Indy D is tough but Calvin is essentially their only option and they will probably find a way to get him the ball. That said, Driver is probably a guarantee for at least 40 yards but maybe not a whole lot more - if you'd rather take that guarantee of at least some yards, then go with Driver.

Redpalmetto, I think I'd go with Carlson (love the matchup) and Morris, again great matchup and I worry about how many carries Dunn is losing to Caddy. While Morris might be splitting runs in NE as well, against Oakland I think you can have an awesome game even as one of several backs.

Thanks! Good advice and I needed a push. I'm also going with Roddy White, Reggie Wayne, L. Tomlinson and A. Rodgers.....L. Moore let me down on Tuesday and now I feel like I should have started D. Bess (don't want to take out White or Wayne for him, however); but I'm still hoping I'll pull out a playoff victory to get into the finals next week.

Coach,

I like Romo this weekend. T.O. and Witten have a lot of motivation to get open and catch anything within reach. Romo will have to throw at least 40 times - if his o-line gives him time, I think he has a big game.

And go with SJax and Purple Jesus.

Coach Tait, I'd go with SJax and Peterson. Those three are really close together in my mind though, you're right, what a tough one! I've scoped out the FFNerd, AccuScore and The Huddle and I think everyone has them really closely ranked together, so if your gut says to start Slaton, go for it. I'm guessing though that SJax and Peterson are going to be the better starts ultimately.

As for Mare and Brown (Josh, right?), I buy in on Mare but am not sure I'd have him in front of guys like Kasay, Gostkowski, Carpenter, Vinatieri and Elam. I don't really like Josh Brown this week - haven't been very big on him all season really. Kickers are such a hard position to predict though - who knows how they'll pan out this week. Hope that helps!

FFL - Thanks for the weekly advice...it's definitely been helpful. The one guy that keeps me scratching my head is Cassel. When I play him (based on research), he flops. When I sit him, he comes up with big numbers. Is he just a hit-or-miss player, or am I missing something?

Start/Sit Week 4 and a smattering of rankings

It's been awhile, my fantasy football friends. I have lofty intentions of getting several posts up here each week, but life is busy and I will do my best. So in the intervening 6 years since I've posted regularly on here, our family added another child (now there are 3!), moved back to Boulder for a sabbatical year and then returned to Knoxville, and we have basically been chugging along like many of the rest of you. My two boys (who turn 12 and 9 soon) are in a fantasy football league for the first time this year with their buddies, which ostensibly is the just the dads (and mom!) playing one another of course. But my oldest is taking it super seriously and what kind of Fantasy Football Librarian would I be if I didn't step up my game for him? So I'm back - and am interested in the fantasy landscape - lots of the same awesome sites out there, but many new ones as well. I'll try to incorporate a mix.
