Correcting for Injuries for Week 15

What a weekend. With Frank Gore, Brandon Jacobs, Peyton Hillis and many others all sustaining injuries yesterday, I am sure many fantasy football seasons have been affected (or are about to be affected...) and perhaps some of you are now sweating bullets over lineup gaps. To get the latest on injury news, here are a few sites to get you up to speed:

But all the injuries of course mean there are lots of waiver wire articles to scope out as well:

• FootballDocs' Pick-up/Drop Advice - I enjoy the "vs the Rams" defense suggestion here. Yes indeed, it looks like any team playing the Rams might just be a decent defense to snag. I put the Cardinals in my lineup in place of the Eagles D/ST at the last minute and was rewarded with 25 points. Nice, real nice.
• Bruno Boys' Waiver Wire points out how well Kevin Walter has done, and I think he has extra value with Schaub behind the helm; could be a nice snag for the rest of the playoffs.
  
• Lester's Legends' Get 'em or Don't Sweat 'em - has some additional playoff bonus suggestions beyond the regular rulings on waiver wire guys.

Three of my seven leagues started playoffs this week and here's my outcome in those three leagues:

1. In the Bruno Boys' experts league I failed to make the playoffs - bad, ugly season for me.
   
2. I made the playoffs in CBS Sportsline's IDP experts league but unless my defender Jon Beason can put up 25+ points tonight, I'll lose to Scott Engel from RotoExperts in the first round.
   
3. In a league with guys from Sports Data Hub it looks like I've made it through the first round of playoffs despite completely forgetting that I had Marion Barber in that league and didn't remember to try and replace him until 2 minutes after the Dallas game had started. This is what happens when you're in seven leagues; thankfully I think I'll make it through unscathed this week.

I'll keep you posted on how many other playoffs I make it to in my remaining four leagues. If everything goes well tonight, looks like I'll be in the playoffs in three of those four leagues for a total record of five playoffs in seven leagues. Not bad but who wouldn't want to be in all seven playoffs, right?
