Wow. I simply cannot believe what just happened - Mike Shanahan was just fired as the Broncos head coach and director of football operations. I've been sitting here for about 30 minutes now trying to wrap my mind around this craziness. I am not a fan of this decision at all but now may the speculations begin...
Update: It is with a very heavy heart that I tell you all that yesterday, August 30th, I delivered our stillborn daughter, Caroline Mary. This has been an almost surreal and definitely heartbreaking experience and I appreciate the support in each and every one of your notes. Caroline will be honored and loved always. That's pretty crazy, as it seems like he was doing a pretty good job grooming the diabetic wonder. Though "D" has been an issue under his tenure, so I wonder if ownership is looking to go with somebody that will shore up that side of the ball.

Here in NE the talk is of course Cassel, Pioli, & McDaniels and take some enjoyment from the misfortunes of the JESTS and Brett FRAUD. Good chance that Pioli goes to Cleveland seems to be a good fit although not sure that McDaniels (Canton, Ohio guy) goes with him but if he does don’t be surprised if Martz ends up as the new OC in NE. Other likely candidates to be HC if Pioli goes to Browns – Ferentz (HC Iowa), Pat Hill (HC Fresno State), maybe the Man – Genius but think he might end up as the DC.
