Week 11 Consensus Start/Sit

Greetings from Northern Virginia - I only have time to get up the consensus picks and a quick link or two before I hang out with my mom; my apologies but moms come first.
Link love first:
  • If you'd like to see me hopefully turn around my sinking ship with Fighting Chance Fantasy's Five Game Parlay, well, good luck to you. Here's hoping it's not another stinker of a week for me...
  • With so many injuries and doubtful starts out there, it doesn't hurt to remind you all to check out some of the top news feeds before plugging your players in each week. Two of my favorites are Rotoworld and
  • Looking for a real sleeper? See what Rotoworld has to say about Brandon Gibson.
  • Finally, IDPers if you're in the market for some start/sit advice on your IDP players, see what FFManiaxs have to say.
Those playing my weekly contest with should know that you can always email David at 365 and ask for more points if you'd like to keep playing but are running low on points. If you need David's contact info, just let me know.

Now to the consensus start/sit for the week - remember, I troll through all of the expert start/sit links that I put up during the week and give you the players with the most votes either way. So listed in no particular order, here are your consensus picks!

Dilemma: would you drop Ahmad Bradshaw to pick Justin Forsett?

If we had a timetable for Jones's return I might be inclined to say yes but from the lack of information and sounds of things we will probably only miss 2 weeks max while Bradshaw is just starting to get healthy again. I'm going to have to go against dropping Bradshaw for Forsett.

Back on the fantasy wagon

With my library conferences behind me (for a few weeks at least), I can now concentrate on fantasy football again. If you happen to be a librarian and are interested in how my co-presenter and I tied together fantasy football and information literacy, check out my co-presenter’s blog . Though I imagine most of you would much rather catch up on the following football news and thoughts for the week: I remain a bit dazed and confused by my certainty last summer that Cedric Benson was going to rock my RB2 world in 2007. Didn’t happen and now he’s moved onto ankle surgery, alleged intoxication and resisting arrest on boats. Awesome. You can practically taste Matt Forte’s value skyrocketing here. In fact, wondering about rookie RBs in general? Well then check out FF Xtreme’s The Day After: Ranking the Rookie Running Backs . I love reading articles or stats that challenge my preconceived notions – The Fifth Down’s Chad the Completion Percentage Machine does just that. No offense to thos

Streaming Defenses - Week 16

Don't know about you all, but in our house this week is just chock full of events, visiting with family, and getting organized for our upcoming time off over the holidays. Lots of scrambling going on around here and attempts to install some sense of gratitude in my boys. What am I grateful for this season? Many things but let's start with Bob. Bob has been my fantasy football rock, coming back week after week to post. Hats off to you, Bob, and thank you for your diligent work and research. So here he is with this year's final streaming defense post.  Well it’s the last week of the Fantasy Football Playoffs in most leagues, and my last post of the season. I hope you all found these posts useful. And if I failed you, you have to murder a lot more experts before you get to me. I myself have had a terrible playoff season. I’m out of all but one of my leagues due to the weird games the last two weeks. Between weather that didn’t materialize to normally consistent players co

Rankings, flow charts, and beyond

Greetings from a remarkably cool morning in Tennessee. I've turned my local Starbucks into my office (I telecommute) most mornings and it's so splendidly breezy and cool out here that I'm actually happily outside on their patio cranking out some fantasy links for you this morning. Enjoy! Rankings: Athlon's 2015 Quarterback Rankings (other positions available here ) RotoBaller's Fantasy Football PPR Rankings: Top 200   Rotoworld's Silva's August Top 200's Fantasy Football 2015 Tight Ends: Top 30 TEs Meanwhile, for a little draft strategy, scope out The Fantasy Fix's 12-Team Standard League Flow Chart - kind of a fascinating little nugget here. He outlines which position(s) you might want to target for each round via flow chart, and then skip down below for commentary on particular players that you might want to target.  Or has their annual look at how the draft could go from each drafting position for fourteen
