I've found a few more sites with start/sit suggestions to add to the list:

Finally, this isn't a start/sit link but check out Hatty Waiver Wire Guru's latest video for suggestions on trade targets that you might want to think about - and the kind of trade bait that might be required.

This isn't the last you'll hear of me this weekend - I'll be on the Scott Engel Radio Show from RotoExperts live on Sunday morning starting at 11:15 eastern. I don't have the exact link but try this out and look for Who Do You Love? Starts and Sits on 10/26.

In a PPR league that gives 12pts for TDs I have some decent choices this week but I can only use 3 of them.

L. Evans
M. Colston
B. Edwards
W. Welker

I'm feeling Colston and Evans are locks but I just don't know if Edwards's upside can be beaten by Welkers 7receptions for 65yards average.

Anyone have some insight?

Thanks in advance.

i listen to a lot of Cleveland radio, that team is a mess i would try to trade edwards while you can. he won't have any CONSISTENT value unless quinn is actually good. which we still don't really know. i'm biased against these guys cause they always let me down, i'm a huge browns fan but i never have ANY of them on my fantasy teams:)edwards and winslow are clearly the only guys worth a spot on your team but the inconsistency kills their value in my mind, ESPECIALLY this season. and welker is my favorite player, cassel's go to guy! NE is at home, cassel plays well at home, i'd go with welker and see just how good the rams are!

A hiatus

Update:  It is with a very heavy heart that I tell you all that yesterday, August 30th, I delivered our stillborn daughter, Caroline Mary. This has been an almost surreal and definitely heartbreaking experience and I appreciate the support in each and every one of your notes. Caroline will be honored and loved always. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your thoughts and prayers - they mean the world to our family. I have been a very poor blogger this month and feel I owe you all an explanation, particularly as this is crunch time for draft prep. I hope this is not too personal of a look into my life since I know most of you are just here for the football. I am nearly 18 weeks pregnant and we have learned that our baby (a little girl!) has triploidy, a chromosomal abnormality that means she has three copies of every chromosome instead of the normal two. The doctors have explained that it's a completely random occurrence and fairly rare that she has made it this far along, but tha...

Labor Day FF links

Happy long weekend! Here's hoping most of you are free to enjoy the 3-day weekend and the relaxation and fun that comes with it. I spent my Sunday participating in 3 fantasy football drafts scattered throughout the day and night, but I think I've finally wrapped up my drafts for the year. So like many of you I'm now turning my attention to the Week 1 games! But before we get to some player rankings and prep for Week 1, I want to make sure that all you experts out there are aware of the upcoming deadline for the annual accuracy contest that I run with the Fantasy Sports Trade Association. I compare preseason positional rankings from experts to the final outcome of the fantasy season to see which site had the most accurate preseason rankings, and this year's deadline is fast approaching: September 9th by kickoff. Check out the info on the FSTA site for more details and be sure to e-mail me your submissions. Now, onto Week 1! First up, let's get to some of this...

2014 Average Position Rankings spreadsheet

Friends, I've got a first draft of the 2014 Average Position Rankings spreadsheet up here as a google doc. If you're new to this annual spreadsheet or need a refresher, here's the scoop. I take the top 200 or so overall rankings that are freely offered by a handful of sites and I average out their rankings for each player. I also take the standard deviation to see how a player's rankings differ among experts, and add that in as another component to give you a sense of how much consensus there is on a player. I drew from the following sites this year: FFToolbox, CBSSports.com (both Jamey and Dave), ESPN, FFCalc's ADP, The Fake Football, The Football Girl, NFL.com, DavidGonos.com, SI, Yahoo, FantasyPros.com, and RealTime Fantasy Sports. All offered roughly a top 200 overall ranking and you can see each site's ranking (gathered 8/20/14) in the second tab on the spreadsheet. You'll see that I really haven't fleshed it out a ton yet - I still have to ge...
